WHAT IS IT?
The S12 or the third-generation Silvia-based Nissan 200SX was a conventional front-engine RWD sport coupe sold globally by Nissan. In North America, it was sold primarily with a naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter four or a 1.8-liter turbo. This one is the more desirable turbo and a reminder of an era when “sporty” coupes occupied the minds of car enthusiasts rather than crossover utility vehicles.  The angular third-gen cars are largely forgotten, being neither distinctive like the Godzilla-era first-gen S10 or the much more sophisticated fourth-gen cars.
WHY THIS CAR HAS BEST ON ON THE PLANET CHOPS
Like so many submissions, the survival rate of this generation 200SX is tiny. This car stands as a giant middle-finger to the near extinction of the model. With the equivalent of about 13,000 miles on it, the car is a near museum piece that was clearly used carefully and properly stored. Could you quibble with the $27,000 price tag? Yes, you could. But repeat after us, the mantra of Best One on the Planet: Go find another.
