JUDGEMENTALISTS

The Best One on the Planet deciders are made up of judges and jurors. Users vote on each submission using a 1 to 5 scale. Cars that average 4 or more go to the jurors. If a majority of jurors vote “yes,” the car becomes a Best One on the Planet nominee. Judges have 48 hours to either let the juror’s decision stand (in which case they become Best One on the Planet), or overrule them. Judges also break ties and have the perk of being able to submit a car (without further debate) as The Best One on the Planet. The Chief Judge is the final word on everything. He promises to use this god-like power sparingly.

All Judges and Jurors agree to adhere to a simple code of ethics—Judges and Jurors will neither vote on, nor submit any car in which they, or a relative or co-worker have an ownership or financial interest. In other words, judges (particularly those who are either dealers or employees of dealers), will not submit cars in which they have a financial interest (i.e. cars which they own in inventory or have on consignment). In the event a user submits a car that a Judge or Juror has a financial interest in, said Judge or Juror will recuse themself from consideration of that car.
